Gohar - From Armenian gohar "diamond", "precious stone". As a name it appeared in XII c. from Persian guhar. There are also the forms Govbar, Guhar and the diminutive Goharik that is used independently. Recently the form Goharuhi (Gohar + uhi female suffix) has appeared though is only a female name.
